How to get there

Parking: Parking at the apartments (free). It is 30.2 km by car to the cable car base station in Szklarska Poręba (about 69 minutes) via Harrachov.
Getting there from us: 30.2 km by car from the apartments (about 69 minutes). On foot along the ridge from Vosecká bouda it is 9.6 km one way – you can reach it from our ridge routes.
Opening hours: The cable car fare and entry to the Karkonoski Park Narodowy are paid in PLN. The cable car does not run all year – check operation and prices in advance.

About the trip

A summit on the Polish side of the ridge with the Schronisko Szrenica mountain hut just below it. A cable car runs up from Szklarska Poręba, so you can get here without a full day's climb. From the top station it is a short walk along the ridge to Vosecká bouda and the Czech paths – Szrenica is the natural point where the Polish and Czech sides of the Krkonoše meet.

Personal tip from us

The nicest version: ride the cable car up and walk down the ridge to Vosecká bouda – you see the Krkonoše from both sides in one day.

Tips

The cable car saves the entire climb – from the top station it is minutes to the summit.
A ridge path runs from Szrenica to Vosecká bouda, which you already know from our routes.
In winter Szrenica is a large ski area; in summer it is a starting point for the ridge.

Safety

The ridge is open and windy, and the weather changes fast even in summer.
On the Polish side the rules of the Karkonoski Park Narodowy apply – marked paths only.
This is abroad – bring identification and check that your travel insurance is valid.
