Parking at the apartments (free). It is 15 km by car to Poniklá (about 20 minutes).
Getting there from us
15 km by car from the apartments (about 20 minutes). By bike it is our loop down the Jizera valley on the Jizera Greenway.

About the trip

The only workshop in the world still making Christmas ornaments from hand-blown glass beads – a craft inscribed on the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage. On the tour you see the whole process, from blowing the glass tube to assembling the ornament, and you can decorate one yourself and take it home.

Book the tour ahead. Without it you will not get in during the season, and that is the whole point of the visit.

Tips

  • You can decorate an ornament yourself and take it home – the best souvenir the Krkonoše has to offer.
  • Before Christmas it is fully booked; reserve well ahead.
  • It combines well with the cycling trip down the Jizera valley on our site.
