About the trip
A valley ride along the Jizera to the only workshop of its kind in the world. From the apartments down to Jablonec nad Jizerou and on along cycle route 17 (Greenway Jizera) beside the river to Poniklá, where Rautis still makes blown glass bead ornaments by hand – a craft on the UNESCO list of intangible heritage. Back the same way upstream. The valley section is almost flat; the extra climbing comes only on the return to the apartments.
